Dear Parents,

Thank you for visiting the Nana's Bible Stories website! I am so pleased that you are interested in sharing the amazing stories of the Bible with your children! These stories draw children into God's truth at their level of understanding, yet, are powerful for the adult reader as well!

Since I was a young girl, reading books has been my favorite hobby. As I grew, I began to make up stories, eventually telling these stories to my own children. They always seemed to enjoy my stories more than those we read in books.

Years later, I became a "Nana," and family and friends continued to encourage my storytelling. One day after baby-sitting two of my grandchildren, a friend asked me what "crazy story" I had made up for them. After telling her about my story of Jesus and the little lost lamb--complete with exciting lions, bears, and wolves--she challenged me to have Nana's stories published. Initially, I had no interest in the possibility of a publisher rejecting my stories. As I left, however, I felt the Lord impressing upon me, "You can NOW write!" I am glad that God is so merciful! I could not wait to get home to write down my stories!

At the age of 70, I was not looking to establish a career, so I am in awe at what the Lord has done. There are no words to express the joy in my heart as I write my "stories within Bible stories." I pray that through Nana's Bible Stories children will see and grow to love the "real" Jesus, who came and dwelt among men, and who loved all children with extreme passion!

This portion of the website will be devoted to providing thoughts and ideas on communicating with the child in your life about the Bible and God's love for them. I am also interested in hearing how you communicate the love of the Lord with your child--or grandchild. Please send your "stories" to nana@nanasbiblestories.com and I will include some of your interesting ideas on this web page as well!
